Arsene arrived at Arsenal in 1996 as a virtual unknown. He had been managing in Japan although he also had previous experience with French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco. Apart from thinking how funny it was that his name was similar to Arsenal's no-one knew much about him.
But its fair to say Arsene has made his mark in the football management world! Any team would gladly have him at their helm. He has been Arsenal's most successful manager ever, including three Premiership titles, four FA Cups and a UEFA Champions League Final appearance.
And off the pitch Wenger's transformation of the team has seen the development of a state of the art training ground and now, of course, the world's greatest football stadium!
Arsene is a quiet, educated man, who has his critics, but most can't help but marvel at his achievements. His uncanny ability to pick up young prospects and players who have struggled at other teams and turn them into world-beaters is amazing.
Hopefully there are more trophies to come for the Frenchman, and for Arsenal.
