Joined the gunners in the summer of 2004 having had something of a reputation as a "bad boy" at Feyenoord. Looks to have matured greatly under Arsene Wenger. Took time to adapt to the English game but has shown enough of his talent to be part of both the Arsenal and Holland first team squads.
Has a bullet of a shot from his favoured left foot (although he can score with his right) and shows great touch for a tall player, able to turn on the spot or flick the ball on for runners. Provides an aerial threat as well.
Robin is really finding his feet with some great goals and performances in 2005/2006 after getting over rape allegations in the previous summer, and some red cards for reckless tackles.
